Katie is the kind of cat who will be your loyal buddy. She'll find you and make herself part of whatever you are doing, though she's not one of those you have to push away. She keeps enough distance so that you can still do it, but if you happen to feel like letting her come on your lap or come under your hand, she's all for it!
